This is currently a difficult time for us following Derby City Council's decision to withdraw funding after March 2012. We will be appealing the decision but if this is unsuccessful there is a definite risk that the Centre will be forced to close early next year. If you would like to help us financially so that we can continue to support our vulnerable service users, all donations of any size will be gratefully received. Please don't feel that your contribution is too small to be valuable - every penny will be hugely appreciated!

Our Current Fundraising Target

Following the proposals by Derby City Council to withdraw funding competely after March 2012, our main priority is to raise funds to continue providing core services at the Centre for our vulnerable service users. In particular, this covers revenue costs such as heating, lighting, electricity and staffing so that we can keep the Centre open for women who need our support. As always, we are continuously applying for funding opportunities but even if successful, it often takes several months for money to come through so any donations would be a great help to help us safeguard our immediate future. 

Donating by Credit or Debit Card

To donate via credit or debit card, please visit our donations page on the MyDonate website. We have chosen to use Charity Choice rather than the likes of JustGiving because our supporters are not charged a fee on top of donations and there is no fee taken out of the donation, so every penny will come to us.

If you wish to send us a cheque, please ensure that it is made payable to Derby Women's Centre and send to Derby Women's Centre, 4 Leopold Street, Derby, DE1 2HE or bring it in person.
