Derby Women's Centre

The Derby Women's Centre is a resource for all women in and around Derbyshire. Our aims are to improve the quality of life for all women. We provide a safe, friendly, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

We are a registered charity No.700448, and have been operating within Derbyshire for the past 30 years. Our main funding comes from Derby City Council and the Big Lottery.

We are governed by a Board of Trustees which currently has 5 voting members.

At the moment we have four paid office staff: a Counselling Co-ordinator (funded by the Big Lottery), a part time Office Manager/Administrator, a Project Worker and a designated administration worker for the Big Lottery funded counselling service. We will shortly be advertising for a new Centre Manager.

We have many volunteers (and are always keen to hear from more) and we also provide placements to students from local colleges and Derby University.
